The Center for Law, Energy, and the Environment (CLEE) is an interdisciplinary research center at Berkeley Law. CLEE conducts pragmatic, policy-driven research designed to solve pressing environmental challenges. CLEE leads the development of the Bay Area Regional Synthesis Report in coordination with the Berkeley Climate Change Network (BCCN). With support of all 14 colleges and schools at Berkeley, BCCN convenes faculty, staff, and students across the campus and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to advance research and action to address climate change.

The Bay Area Climate Adaptation Network (BayCAN) is a collaborative network made up of local governments and partner organizations that work together to help the Bay Area respond to the effects of a changing climate in a collaborative and equitable manner. BayCAN serves as the lead on community partnerships and will establish opportunities for regular convening and coordination of community responses through the development of the Regional Summary Report. BayCAN will also coordinate with other regional collaboratives through the Alliance of Regional Collaboratives for Climate Adaptation to cross pollinate best practices on engagement.

The Governor's Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI), in partnership with other state agencies, is responsible for overseeing the development of the entire CA 5th Climate Change Assessment process, including the Bay Area Regional Synthesis Report.
